“Celebration of Volunteering”

We are delighted to invite you to join us for RochesterCares “Celebration of Volunteering” on Thursday, April 22, 2010. This annual event gathers our volunteers, agency partners, and corporate and community supporters to acknowledge their contributions to the fulfillment of our mission to inspire and challenge everyone to participate in improving our community through volunteerism. Without these individuals and partners, the impact that RochesterCares has in our community would not be possible.

During the past year, volunteers from RochesterCares have participated in over 135 projects assisting 37 different organizations across Monroe County. Through our expanded sponsorship outreach, we have increased our volunteer base and developed new partnerships with corporate donors. Our recent technology initiative has already enlarged our bandwidth and will help us increase our scope and effectiveness.

Please join us as we celebrate the weaving together of people and resources to deliver vital and caring service throughout the greater Rochester area. We will gather for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction which will be followed by a brief presentation to recognize key contributors to this remarkable community-wide effort. The evening promises a wonderful opportunity to network with friends and colleagues who share a strong commitment to local volunteerism.
