All of RochesterCares' activities revolve around the monthly volunteer opportunities calendar. Each month our staff of project managers develops a set of projects together with the community service partners (agencies) we work with and with our volunteer team coordinators. Projects are designed to be fun and easy, and to fit the schedules of busy volunteers.
These projects are published in our volunteer opportunities calendar, which is sent to all volunteers each month (we hope you'll become one of our volunteers soon. Volunteers can then pick the projects that look interesting to them and fit their schedules. To volunteer for one of the projects on the calendar, they (and hopefully you) simply call the team coordinator for that project and let them know you want to come.
The volunteer opportunities calendar also has opportunities that are not sponsored by RochesterCares. These projects represent needs of our community service partners that don't fit within our mission, or projects for which the agency simply doesn't need us. These projects are described at the bottom of the calendar. If you are interested in participating in one of these, simply call the agency contact listed and let them know you'd like to attend.
