How do I sign up for a project?
- Click on Register near the Login Box to start your volunteer profile.
- Visit our online calendar of service projects, and find a project that interests you and fits your schedule.
- Once you fine a project, just follow the simple instructions to sign up!
- The team coordinator will send you a confirmation and any details that you need for the day of the event.
Our volunteer board members and team coordinators work hard to ensure that projects go smoothly. We work with over 25 nonprofit agencies in the Greater Rochester area to find projects that we consider meaningful and rewarding opportunities for our volunteers.
The team coordinator will serve as your primary contact throughout the project. They will give you all the information you need about the agency and the project, including directions. And while on-site, they ensure that all volunteers understand the project and provide tools, if needed. Most importantly, we hope you have fun giving back to your community!
What happens after my project?
The team coordinator will ask you to evaluate your experience with a brief survey. This information helps us assess the project's impact, your experience as a volunteer, and our coordination services. Our goal is to make this a rewarding and meaningful volunteer experience for you. We intend to make every effort in making your experience a positive one, in the hopes that it will encourage you and others to make a difference every day.
Do you offer any group projects?
Part of a fraternity/ sorority, a church group, alumni association or other civic group looking to do community service?
Depending on the size of your group, we may be able to accomodate your group at one of our many calendar projects, or we can arrange a service project just for your group. Let RochesterCares handle the details for you. We provide the project and you provide the volunteer power!
